Bust out your natal chart and let’s ground into this moment.
We are in Spring. Spring is a 3 month season focused on breaking new ground after the silence of Winter. I like to think of Spring as a big, messy, organic test dept or laboratory built specifically for us to play and roll around in while we try out a bunch of things. It is the garden, ready for whatever seeds we want to throw at it.
Spring contains the Sabbats Ostara and Beltane. Here, we will pass through the signs of Aries, Taurus, and Gemini. These Sabbats get us focused on the process of awakening, experimentation, connecting to the body and Earth, and communion with others.
In Ostara, we see a vision of what the year could be like, and we begin to awaken the body, like a good stretch before a workout. We also come back to the spiritual fire, and begin to stir our passions for what we would like to accomplish. Aries, a cardinal sign dedicated to getting stuff started, oversees this process and we watch the Earth come back to life.
During Beltane, we settle further into the body, still in experimentation mode, but not just with concepts and visions, it is with the physical plane and its denizens. Taurus oversees the first part of this time. Taurus is a fixed sign, and helps us to slow down and stabilize what we are envisioning, reminding us of the benefits we receive when we stop and smell the roses.
Guiding us through the last four weeks of Beltane and Spring is Gemini, a mutable sign that assists us in mutating and shape changing. What changes we make can be influenced by whatever we have experienced in Spring so far as well as the adventures we’re planning for Summer. Gemini is here to help us think about and communicate with others what data we have collected in the laboratory of Spring. It’s time to think about where we could go with all that information.
Every year the Sun will pass through Gemini during the 2nd half of Beltane. We will have a New Moon in Gemini at some point, and a Full Moon in Sagittarius.
Look at your natal chart and find Gemini. Look at the house or houses connected to this sign. The house/s the Sun is passing through is where, in your life, you might experience this stuff. And this will be true for you every year.
–The Sun represents our fundamental sense of self, our central purpose, and our creative potential.
–Gemini represents our need and capacity to communicate and learn from others.
So, in general everyone may find themselves more chatty, social, and curious during the last part of Beltane season. The New Moon in Gemini will help initiate some part of our Beltane work by stirring up a desire for more information, and the Full Moon in Sagittarius will help us resolve some part of our Beltane work by lending us more philosophical understanding.
This Year
The Sun is trine Pluto in Aquarius and sextile Mars in Leo as it enters Gemini. This is, honestly, pretty damn cool… READ THE REST ON MY PATREON.
